CIBIL Data on SMEs and Commercial Vehicles Loans
« on: October 13, 2012, 03:33:24 PM »
Commercial Vehicle Loans There is some stress seen in the CV segment as analysed by the 30 DPD (days past due) and 60 Days Past Due trends. However asset quality across other segments like home loans, auto loans and even against unsecured credit like credit cards has been behaving exceptionally well. It is not a major issue as the driver atleast would be having a driver’s license and/or voter’s id. Also mobile number these days has become a very important source of identification or data capturing as everyone has a mobile number.

CIBIL SME Bureau The SME bureau now has close to 11m records compared to 0.5m records when they had launched in 2006. It has scaled up well however the coverage and penetration still remains poor and that possibly also explains why SME asset quality hasn’t been very good.
