Title: How to remove my name from CIBIL after settlement with HDFC Credit card.

Hi Sir,
Please suggest me the way out for removing my name from CIBIL list as i made the settlement with HDFC Credit card. the transaction happened 5 to 6 year back, so don’t remember the card no & latter is also misplaced.

Kindly suggest.

1. The first step would be to get your credit report - Detailed Instruction on obtaining the same are available here http://www.cardbhai.com/2009/08/cibil-credit-report-on-demand-available.html

2. Every Indian Borrower's name is entered in CIBIL but with what Status is the Question ? It will have Details as shown here http://www.dalalstreet.biz/forum/cibil-credit-report-score/understanding-accounts-enquiries/

3. Hurry Up and Get your Credit Report and Post what is in it here and we can advise accordingly.

Also note that, Banks will retain records for 7 Years only and after which you cannot even ask for a copy of your statement and whatever has been reported will be deemed final because of your negligence.
