StanChart Credit Card Fradulent Transaction not reversed
« on: November 14, 2013, 06:51:27 PM »
A Reader has e-mailed me the following,

On 26th December, I had reported a fradulent Credit card Swipe to standard chartered bank to which I did not get any response from the Bank as well as the Sony Mony Shop. There after the Standard Chartered employees kept on calling me to pay the amount of Rs. 10000/- which I never used in Cash nor did I purchase any product in return. I have the credit card statements clearly indicating that it is in the name of (MX Information System) Licensee of Sony Mony. Now, that we have refused to repay this amount, standard chartered has put our record in CIBIL as a blacklister for not repaying the loan, whereas my past record is really good pertaining to my loans purchased.

I called up the call center (Helpline) numbers as soon as this transaction took place, but in vain. Thereafter, I also communicated through e-mail with the Higher authorities of Standard Chartered Bank (Mr. Rajesh Thukral) as well as the employees of Sony Mony. But nowhere down the line, I got a positive reply. Ultimate, its me who is in loss as my money is being used by Sony Mony and Standard Chartered Bank is asking me the money with Interest. As of today the amount of money to be repaid is Rs. 24,000/-

The only relief that I am expecting is that, Sony Mony and Standard Chartered Bank should settle the matter amongst themselves and clear my CIBIL record as this will not allow me purchase any loan in future. I request to take a strict action against these people, so that in future, they dont play with the hard earned money of poor people. I have all the proofs and documents, in case you want it for verification. I would like to hear positive response from your organisation.
