Title: My credit rating

my credit rating is 540 and i have a settlement done. Would the settlement help improve my credit rating?

Obtain a copy of your credit report. If the bank has updated your report for the A/C under discussion as Settled or Written off etc then it will take couple of years for your credit to improve based on any other credit / local account payments.
