Here is Good News for the Industry as the Number of Doubtful / Default Accounts of Credit Cards are declining rapidly.
The delinquent or NPA accounts of the banks have fallen from 8-9% in 2006-2008 to 4%. During Global Economic crisis of 2009-10, the NPA level hit a double digit to 10% and since then has declined as Banks exercised caution in giving out credit cards.
Global NPA level of Credit Card Operations is at 3%.
