Dear Sir,
I have used HSBC credit card say 3 years back, and got misguided by my so called cousin and did not pay. Now I am realising the mistake and want to go for settlement. While surfing through internet, somewhere I found, HSBC do not do settlement, is that true, however I have made up my mind to visit the bank and talk on this. Kindly suggest, what all the major thing I should keep in mind while talking to them, your earliest response will be helpful.

1. Do you want to Do Settlement or Pay in Full ? You Decide.
2. If you go for Settlement, your Credit History will be Negatively Impacted. If you Pay in Full, it won't be affected, but while negotiating ask for CLEAN Chit. Go through Posts on this forum, I have already advised on this issue.
3. You must Follow these Steps - http://www.cardbhai.com/2009/01/credit-default-final-settlement-steps.html
