SBI Cards Telephone Fraud Advisory

A reader of CardBhai Credit Card Advisory Services writes her experience with SBI Credit Card Telephone Fraud where she was stripped of by Rs 4,999. This is is posted as an Advisory,

On my card there was 1 fraud transaction happend on 6th August 2015 for Rs.4999/-.I received one call saying that he is calling fromm SBI Credit Card department and saying that there is 4999 points are pending to reedem, please confirm your details so we will be able to do the redemption else you points will loose. I asked him how will trust you? then he said that I will get sms from SBI department on on my mobile and he has my full SBI credit card number. so I trusted him. He asked me OTP number, I denied to tell then he said without OTP he won’t be able to reedim the points, so I told him.

After that I recieved SMS that the transaction has been done through VODAFONE BILL Desk for Rs.4999/- which I don’t know. Within fraction of second I received again one call from SBI Credit card asking that has I did any transactin for the said amount. So I said him I haven’t did but one of your department only call me for reedimption of point. That time he said I am sending intimitation to block the card. Some one is cheated you. please send Complaint to our card department at “feedback@sbicard.com” . I received mail that I am liable to pay those amount because these transaction happened because of sharing the OPT. I have lodged the complaint to Cyber Crime department,Local Police Station & media, Consumer forum board, etc.

I felt SBI never care of their customers. They don’t know how to resolve these kind of issue, I asked nodal officer that tell me the transaction details. It’s is surprised that they are unable to give me details for what transaction payment done. It means that bank is only concern for the payment only and leased interested to solve client’s issues.

Though they are unable to provide me transaction details and today I received call from call center that now Amount of transaction is 8000/- including penalties. I hold for 5 months, waited for 5 months thought SBI will give me some solution.

I lodged the complaint on VODAFONE Desk board, I received so many calls that they are also cheated same way… It means , SBI Card department is taking care of those Fraud team by encouraging this way.

I am advising all my friends do not take credit card from or deal with SBI. It is high time now some one should take legal action on this bank?
