Title: Savings - Investments of Indians

Latest data on savings and investment indicate the savings rate stood at 33.7% to GDP in FY10 (vs. 32.2% last year) and the investment rate at 36.5% (vs. 34.5% last year); they still remain significantly below the peak levels of 37% and 38% seen in FY08.

On the savings front, the share of household savings held firm, at 70%. Encouragingly, public sector savings posted an uptrend, with a share of 6.3% (vs. 1.6% last year).

As regards investments, trends were held up by the corporate sector (share of 36% to total) as well as household investment (32%).

Pretty sure about the treands..in the next fiscal year of 2011 its gonna increase ...
