Mutual fund performance depends on the respective fund you have opted for. It varies with the type of investment, viz Cumulative or SIP. For example, check this mutual fund Performance link for a particular fund.

Mutual funds are are always subject to market risk. It depends on how smartly you are investing. Reliance mutual funds are very good to invest with low risk.
