Dunkin’ Donut opened 3 stores in the quarter in city of Delhi (http://www.retailmantra.com/dunkin-donuts-opening-in-delhi-ncr-in-june-jubiliant-foods). Management noted that initial response has been better than their expectations.
For FY13, they are planning to launch 10 stores experimenting with various formats including a mix of flagship restaurants, high street stores, mall stores, and food court kiosks. Company will decide on the final format gauging the best fit for consumer preferences and profitability.
There are initial losses for Dunkin’ Donuts format and management is also unsure which format will gain traction.
