Pizza Hut India has expanded its network almost in-line with Domino's in recent years and the SSSG for PH Delivery was similar to Domino's in FY15 (+c.6% in CY14 vs. -c.2% for Domino's). It is only in recent years that PH has focused heavily on the delivery business and intends to close the gap with Domino’s in its price positioning and digital capability. Online orders have scaled up from 9% to 33% of delivery sales in the last 12 months (c.29% for Domino's in Mar-q).
KFC has outperformed McDonalds, its closest competitor, by adding outlets at c3x the pace in the past 6 years. The business continues to face headwinds from a weak demand environment in the Indian quick service (QSR) category.
