Here is a excerpt of Historical Performance Record of Indian IPOs since 1990 to 2013 from the Bloomberg database for IPOs Larger than Rs 1500 Crore.
In India, for example, despite rising by on average 16% on Day 1, IPOs go on to underperform the market by 4% over the following three months, and by another 20% over two years.
The Percentage of IPOs outperforming on Day 1 is 63%.
