SBI Double Billing - No EMI
« on: March 21, 2016, 03:32:33 PM »
A reader of CardBhai.com has written as under,

Dear Sir, I have SBI credit card no. 4377486995663109. I have made a payment to TATA AIG on 05/12/2015 of amount Rs 7589/- with plan of 6 EMI's of Rs1316.98. In Credit card monthly generated statement(Attachment-1) on 15/12/2015, My due amount was shown as Rs 23038.88 which has shown Tata Aig Payment as well as the EMI amount. I had doubt so i talked to customer care executive Mr. Ravi with complaint no. 1-4395656504, who confirmed that if i pay the amount EMI plan will be cancelled. So i paid Rs 23038.88 thinking that any advane may be adjusted later on. But next month, the credit card statement had EMI component in it. So i emailed customercare but they refused to listened to me.(Attachement -2) I emailed to nodal officer but havent got any reply. In second similar case, i bought a laptop on EMI basis but in that monthy statement they have calculated correctly my out standing amount.

In such cases as above, the Customer must file an appeal with SBI Ombudsman and they will usually resolve the same within 30 days failing which you have to seek the help of RBI Ombudsman where it will be definitely resolved. If your complaint is genuine without any hidden facts, then customer will definitely win in the RBI.
